Here is a shot at helping, from what I can understand of your description: It appears to be that the library was licensed by NI to be used in Kontakt, so it can't be loaded just by clicking on an.nki file; you have to add it to the Libraries browser (the column on the left-hand side where the 'wallpaper' images for the libraries appear.
